ABOUT
Kendall is an Emmy-nominated television writer whose work consists of dozens of produced scripts, spanning multiple genres, including series for Disney, Netflix, Nickelodeon, and HBO Max. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Kendall fled life on the prairie to study Animation and Children’s Media at NYU Tisch School of the Arts before heading west to begin her career in Los Angeles. She spent a few years in Production Management at DreamWorks Feature Animation, then transitioned to writing full time as a Staff Writer on The Lion Guard at Disney, a job she’d been preparing for her whole life.* After her time in the Pride Lands, Kendall was a Staff Writer and Freelancer on various series, including The Rocketeer, Little Ellen, and Kitti Katz. More recently, she was Story Editor/Head Writer on Barbie: It Takes Two at Mattel and HexVets & Magic Pets at Nickelodeon. Kendall is passionate about telling inclusive stories, full of humor and whimsy, that inspire kids to make positive changes in their world. A big fan of horseback riding, musicals, and ceramics, she lives with her husband, son, and pup in Los Angeles.
Kendall is also the host of Typin’ Toons, a podcast that explores the craft and career of writing for animation. Throughout her career, she’s been beyond fortunate to learn from some of the best and hopes this podcast can be a small way of paying that forward. You can find out more about Typin’ Toons here.
